Lina Sergie Attar, MArch, SMArchS is a co-founder of Karam. As a graduate of RISD & MIT, she depends on her background in art, design and architectural history to create the visual representation of the foundation. She comes from a family of philanthropists and is proud to contribute to this legacy. Lina lives in Lake Forest, IL with her husband and two daughters. lina@karamfoundation.org
Sahar Alkadri is a fundamental part of the Karam Foundation team. She enjoys planning, organizing and executing the social events. Her passion for decor will be translated into elegant details at Karam events. Sahar lives in Chicago with her husband and two sons.
Dalia Atassi, has a background in economics and management. An avid educational and cultural volunteer, she was certified as a project manager, presenter, and trainer in the Joiner Chamber International. She brings to Karam her expertise in cultural media. Dalia lives in Manhattan with her husband and enjoys cooking and traveling.
Ahmad K. Minkara, M.D., is a humanitarian, community leader and an activist. Ahmad brings his experience in fundraising and public relations to Karam. With roots in Lebanon and Syria, Ahmad is passionate about his Levantine culture. In his free time, Ahmad is a voracious reader with great appreciation for the arts and letters.
S. Hala Souman, Esq. is a co-founder of Karam. Her legal background enables her to provide vital guidance on the legal aspects of running Karam. She will also use her legal expertise to explore the establishment of various charitable trusts and work with members of Karam to amend their wills to provide testate charitable gifts to Karam. Amjad Alkadri, M.D., will contribute to Karam his budget management and expenditure planning skills. His appreciation for technology and innovation will guide Karam Foundation in purchasing equipment for outreach using the internet and other advanced sources.
Zeina Atassi brings her background of volunteering and outreach to Karam. She is taking the lead in establishing a Karam chapter in Boston, MA. She has a passion for cooking and the art of cuisine presentation. Zeina lives in Reading, MA with her husband and two sons. Lana Meriden lives in Chicago, IL . She enjoys Middle Eastern cooking, and spending time with friends and family. Lana will contribute her marketing and communication skills to Karam.
Amanda Schmitz, will utilize her regulatory and research background to advance funding sources. As Karam expands its membership and chapters, Mandy will bring opportunities in both the private and public sectors with the aim of helping the impoverished and unprivileged to lead a better quality of life. Mandy currently resides in Baltimore, Maryland with her husband and in her spare time enjoys traveling, reading and bonding with her family.
