ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR 

 

As Administrative Coordinator, you will be working directly with the ENTIRE Karam Team. You will USE YOUR SKILLS in outreach and communication, and enjoy a collaborative teamwork culture. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree. Background in communications (preferred)
  • 2-4 years of experience in a related field
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Gmail, Google Drive & Calendar
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Good team member
  • Sensitivity to confidential matters
  • Be able to work independently
  • Take Initiative

DUTIES:

  • Manage Karam's general email & calendar
  • Organize and schedule meetings and appointments
  • Coordinate logistics for events including schedule, travel, and honorariums
  • Maintain contact lists
  • Maintain electronic filing system
  • Prepare written responses to routine enquiries
  • Prepare and distribute meeting minutes and action item follow ups
  • Answer phone calls 
  • Manage volunteers and ambassadors
  • Manage office supplies inventory and restocking
  • Working directly with Communications team on donor management communication 
  • Working directly with the Creative team on orders

LOCATION
Lake Forest, IL

HOURS & COMPENSATION
Full-time, 40 hours per week. $15 per hour.

PRODUCT MANAGER

 

AS PRODUCT MANAGER YOU WILL BE WORKING DIRECTLY WITH THE CREATIVE DESIGNER, SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER, AND DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS. YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DEVELOPING A SYSTEM TO MAINTAIN KARAM’S INVENTORY AS WELL AS DRAFTING PROPOSALS FOR POTENTIAL DISTRIBUTORS.

DUTIES:

  • Create & manage electronic inventory system
  • Communicate directly with customers
  • Coordinate events that are both local and not local, and maintain their product sales
  • Fulfill product orders
  • Purchase supplies for store
  • Work directly with Creative Designer on creating new products
  • Keep up with packaging and merchandise trends
  • Communicate Karam's mission to customers and potential partners
  • Work directly with Social Media Manager on product related social media content
  • Outreach to local distributors to sell Karam products
  • Prepare sales reports

Part-time, 20 hours per week, with potential for full-time. $15 per hour.

ACCOUNTING CLERK

 

AS ACCOUNTING CLERK, YOU WILL BE WORKING DIRECTLY WITH THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCIAL OPERATIONS AS WELL AS OTHER KARAM TEAM MEMBERS. YOU WILL GAIN A CLOSE UNDERSTANDING ABOUT KARAM FOUNDATION’S WORK AND THE SYRIAN CRISIS, DEVELOP SKILLS IN FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT, AND ENJOY A COLLABORATIVE TEAMWORK CULTURE.
