OUR STORY (SEPTEMBER 2015): We have not heard from our father in years as he has disappeared; nobody knows his whereabouts or whether he is even alive. We live with our cousins, Mouna and Esraa.
UPDATE - MARCH 2016: "We both love science. We really enjoy learning about the human body and different things about ourselves. Our teachers are so nice to us. We love waking up and going to school to see our friends. We like to play sports. Our teachers play with us too sometimes. Thank you!" - Abdo
UPDATE - JUNE 2016: "We love school so much; at school, we get to play with Mohamad and Kusey. This summer, we really want to attend football camp so we can play with them! When we’re not playing with our friends, we spend a lot of time doing our homework and getting ready for school. " - Abdo + Mustafa
UPDATE - SEPTEMBER 2016: "This summer, we visited our relatives. We are excited to go back to school because we both want to play with our friends and study. I’m going to work on improving my math and English, while Abdo will work on making new friends. We are really happy to be going back to school." - Abdo + Mustafa
UPDATE - JANUARY 2017: "I am finding English a little difficult still but I practice everyday with Mustafa. We did well on our exams, so our teachers threw the school a party. My favorite class is Arabic, because I love to read --not like Mustafa who loves math class. We have a lot of friends at school and play with them and we help them study sometimes." -Love, Abdo
UPDATE - APRIL 2017: "I work with my teachers to beautify the school, like putting up decorations and balloons. It makes me really happy to do this. Mustafa loves to play with his friends. Our school is really fun and we love our teachers. When we go to school, we make our dad happy since we get good grades." -Love, Abdo
UPDATE - OCTOBER 2017: “Nothing about school bugs us, we’re very happy for being able to receive education and make new friends at school, this year I made a new friend named Hamada. Mustafa loves his Arabic teacher and wants to be the first in class. I like my life in Reyhanli and when I grow up I want to become a teacher.” – Abdo.
