DOSES OF HOPE: IMAN'S STORY
A short film of 11 yr old Iman, a Syrian refugee girl from Aleppo. A glimpse at her life on the Syrian-Turkish border, and how she conquers her "fear." Iman's older brother Mohammad and Rania, inspired Karam's Sponsor a Syrian Refugee Family program which takes children out of child labor and back into school where they belong. (KLP - ADVANCED JOURNALISM WORKSHOP)
In September 2015, a group of 5 international journalists traveled to Reyhanli, Turkey to conduct an advanced KLP Journalism workshop with Syrian refugee teens at the Karam Computer Lab in Al Salam School. KLP aims to inspire Syrian refugee teems through mentorship-based workshops that give them the tools to imagine and build a better future for themselves. The Mustache Campaign, back for its fourth consecutive year with #GivingTuesday spirit! Students Organize for Syria (SOS) and Karam Foundation, facilitated a crowdfunding campaign with teams from across the world all for a great cause. All funds raised during this week long campaign provided crucial winter and education packages for Syrian refugee children. #Staches4Syria
